Cancellations & Rescheduling

Bookings, Payments, and Pricing

We ask that you call us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you attempt to cancel or reschedule within that 24-hour period, we charge 50% of the appointment cost to the card on file. No-shows, cancellations, or reschedules that occur anytime (10AM or later) on the day of the appointment itself will be charged 100%. By booking with Red Chair Salon, you agree to this policy.

To cancel or reschedule, call us and leave a voicemail at (206) 922-2427 or text us at (206) 234-3721. It is imperative that we have a record of your communication if you can't get a person on the phone, as we use the timestamp of your voicemail or text as the official time of cancellation.

This policy, although stringent, protects the time and compensation of our stylists and our small business. We *really* don't want to charge you for a service you didn't receive, so please do your best to either give proper notice or show up to your appointment.

We understand that certain things are unpredictable and emergencies happen, so please call us for special circumstances!

All of our clients are required to put a card on file in the case of last minute reschedules, cancellations, no-shows, or as a backup if our primary point of sale system goes down. This info is stored securely in Schedulicity's database, and won't be charged unless the cancellation policy is violated. You are also not required to pay with this card when you check out.

We cannot retain bookings that do not have card information, and will cancel them with at least 48 hours' notice (or more). You can either call us to put this information on file or enter it yourself when you book online.

Prices are subject to change. If your appointment extends beyond its planned schedule due to hair health, thickness, slow processing et. al., we will apply additional charges at checkout based on your stylist's hourly rate.

Courtesy Calls and Appointment Reminders

Our booking system is set to remind clients via email (and/or text, if you've opted into text reminders) 24 - 48 hours in advance of your appointment. We also conduct courtesy calls for all color services on the business day before your appointment. However, even without these communications, you are still responsible for showing up to your scheduled appointment unless you have canceled or rescheduled within the required timeframe.


Health & Safety


As of May 13, 2025, masks are optional but still highly encouraged in the shop. If you choose to mask, your stylist will mask up as well (if they aren't already).

We are an extremely health-conscious salon, and community health is very important to us! As such, hand sanitizer is always available, and we run air purifiers from open to close.

If you arrive for your appointment while displaying symptoms of illness, you may be asked to leave and/or charged a fee. If you are sick, please reschedule your appointment immediately, as we work closely with our clients (sometimes for many hours) and want to prevent the spread of any germs, not just COVID-19!

We always want you to be happy when you leave! If you're not in love with your hair, contact us within 7 days of your appointment for a complimentary adjustment.
